Give Back Experiences

Spend two or four weeks on one of our most popular projects, giving quality education to the children attending school in the poor parts of this beautiful island.

Starting with a weekend in the country's buzzing capital, Bangkok, we'll then take you down to the tropical island to meet the friendly and eager children that call this place home.

Koh Samui is definitely an island of two halves. There's the side tourists see as it's one of Thailand's leading tourist resort destinations, attracting over a million visitors each year. Step away from the tourist areas and you'll see a very different side to Samui, a side that struggles each day and lives hand to mouth, a side that desperately needs help. Our focus on the island is with the next generation. Not only will you be changing lives through education and leaving with new found friends, but you'll also get to experience a stunning island which has plenty to offer the intrepid adventurer.

The teaching project on Koh Samui gives quality education to the children attending school in poor parts of this tropical island.

With very little funding from the Thai government, you and our other volunteers offer an opportunity for the children of the island to learn English from native speakers, a luxury most cannot afford.

The Thai education system is in need of a drastic overhaul in order to improve the basic English ability of its children. At the moment, our volunteers are the only source of native English speaking and learning and are invaluable at giving these children opportunities that break the cycle of poverty.

Since 2013, we have steadily improved the welfare of over 1000 children across the three schools we now work with! These improvements have been made through creating quality learning environments and the dedication of our fantastic team on the ground and volunteers.

Known locally as 'Krung Thep' or 'The City That Never Sleeps', and the world over as 'The City of Angels', Bangkok is a huge sprawling metropolis and an amazing city. There is no better place in Asia, arguably the world, to begin an adventure of this nature. We love it so much that is' home to our HQ and operations team.

Incredibly cheap and tasty street food, fun and interesting bars, the best shopping on the planet, Bangkok has it all, and more! The people here are so friendly that, if you're anything like us, you'll never want to leave!

On arrival in Bangkok, because it's so easy to become lost in a world of sensory overload, our team will collect you from the airport and transfer you to the starting point, our guesthouse in the heart of one of the craziest areas of the city. You'll have plenty of time to rest and refresh before we organize a obligation-free get-together of those who have already arrived, have a couple of drinks and a quick explore of the area.

If you plan to arrive in Thailand prior to our official arrival you may need to make your accommodation arrangements until our official arrival day. We will let you know how to get to our guesthouse and one of our team will be there to meet you on arrival.

If you do arrive on the arrival day, before 6am or after 9pm, let us know. We can only collect our volunteers between 6am and 9pm, but don't panic, we can make arrangements for you so that you're comfortable and so that you know exactly what's going on.

There are great online resources for finding cheap flights, such as or If you would like to speak to an agent you can use our preferred agent by clicking on this link

Please book a flight that arrives in to Bangkok's main international airport (named, Suvarnabhumi or airport code: BKK) on the chosen arrival date. If its between 6am and 9pm one of our team will be there to meet you. If you arrive after 9pm we can arrange for an airport hotel to collect you and you'll spend that night with them. The following morning we'll have a driver collect you and transfer you to the guesthouse where you'll meet up with the other volunteers.

If you arrive in Thailand before your chosen arrival date then you may need to make arrangements for your early accommodation but just get in touch with our team who can give you more details.

When you have your flight booked you must send to us the flight number (usually a code consisting of two letters and three number. For example; BA009) and the arrival time. Without this information we cannot collect you from the airport and that would just suck!

It's also a great idea if you can send us a number for a mobile or cell phone that you plan to bring with you so that we can try to contact you if for some reason we're unable to locate you at the airport.

Due to the wide array of destinations accessible from Koh Samui, and that not everybody wants to travel back to Bangkok, it's far easier for our team to just let you choose where you're heading once your placement has ended. Of course, our team will help you to organise tickets and a schedule but you will need to pay for your onward travel yourself.

Thailand uses a monetary system called the 'Baht' (pronounced like 'bart'). At the time of writing the exchange rate is $1 = 35 Baht or £1 = 44 Baht. It's a very helpful idea to bring some with you if you can get it. If not, there are heaps of ATM's in the airport and on almost every street corner in Bangkok.

General day to day living in Thailand can be very cheap with meals costing as little as 35 Baht, a beer for 60 Baht, bottled water for 5 Baht and upwards. The further you are from Bangkok, the cheaper day to day living costs. It's highly likely that you can live on as little as $10-$15 per day but if you like to shop or party then you need to budget accordingly.

As we're not medical professionals we're not permitted to give medical advice. However, most travel clinics suggest having the following vaccinations; Tetanus, Hepatitis A and B, Polio and Typhoid.

There is no malaria in either Bangkok or Koh Samui but if you're travelling before or after joining us you may want to check if any of the areas you plan to visit suffer with malaria.

A rabies vaccination is entirely your decision. There is rabies in Thailand but a vaccination just gives you an additional 24 hours to find medical assistance and reduces subsequent injections from 5 to 4. It may not make financial sense, especially if you plan to avoid being bitten by a stray dog or monkey!

Please do seek medical advice from your GP or local medical travel advice clinic for absolutely up to date information.

To confirm your place on the program we just require a deposit of US $250. This is by far our most popular program to ensure that you confirm your placement we suggest sending this deposit as soon as possible. Once we have received your deposit your placement will be confirmed by email. If you haven't received that email in 48 hours, please check your spam or junk folder.

We require your placement to be fully paid a couple of months before your confirmed arrival date. We can set you up with a weekly payment plan if you prefer. Just contact our team to make that happen.

Throughout your project you will be accompanied by award-winning team of coordinators and guides. They are they to help you understand the Thai culture, customs, to help you with arrangements, answer any questions that you may have and to ensure that you enjoy your time to its fullest. If at any time you feel unsafe, either in general or on your placement, we expressly urge you to speak to your coordinators immediately. In almost all cases whatever the issue is can be resolved quickly and with minimum effect to your placement.

We have been operating for over 15 years, have placed over 25,000 people and have an experienced team with a wealth of knowledge and passion! But don't just take our word for it - if you visit our verifications page where you can see our accreditation and view over 1000+ reviews.
